They are seeking the death penalty over the premise that the captain killed the people on the ferry. I disagree with them seeking the death penalty because he did what any human would've done. I don't believe in the death penalty because I don't feel taht people should be able to make the decision regarding people's death. It shouldn't be up to anyone.

I believe that the women should have the right to take her own life, because it is her life to decide what happens the her. Suicide is when you take your own life, and euthenaisa is when someone assists you in suicide.I would feel like I couln't controll my own life.

Click-Bait articles try to draw you away from Facebook itself, and draw your attention to the baited sites. I would like it if these sites were taken off and restore Facebook to social media, instead of the marketing ploy many websites use it as now.

1. No, I do not believe that he should have been penalized because I feel it violates his 1st amendment, of being able to freely broadcast his religion. Also, Tim Tebow was not facing punishment when he showed signs of Christianity, and this is basically the same thing.
2. It goes against his first amendment.
3. I would give the players a more in depth description of what is acceptable, when regarding religion on the NFL.

This article explains the story of a court case that resulted in the death penalty for one Texas native. Many people say this goes against his right to due process, because he wasn't allowed to determine if it was Constitutional or not, and also his 8th ammendment rights, and that it was cruel and unusual punishment.

They are protesting for a less restrictive government. They want a more democratic government. One thing they are missing is the first ammendment, because they are not free, and that is something we take for granted.

The low percentages of bachelors degrees in West Virginia indicate to me that no one in West Virginia feels that they need a bachelors to thrive in the econmy. I feel that West Virginia's education system as a whole is flawed, because we aren't typically expected to perform well academically. To increase graduation rates, I feel there needs to be a greater sense of urgency for the people of WV to feel that they need a bachelors degree.

2. Over the years, people have become less tolerable to child abuse. People, in my opinion, have become softer towards discipline.

India will go under a higher alert as a result of the terrorist threats. They are targeting India to combat the rise of the Muslim religion. The US should wait and determine if intervention should be made.

Recently, four men have invented a new defense against date rape drugs. They developed a fingernail polish that reacts to date rape drugs. When women stir their drinks with their fingers, the fingernail polish will change colors if the drink contains these drugs. I think it is a good idea because it is the only active defense against date rape drugs. Hopefully, it can help prevent many cases of sexual assault.

At 3:20 A.M., a magnitude 6.0 earthquake hit in American
Canyon, California. It has been the largest earthquake that has hit the area in
25 years. Altogether, on 3 people were in critical care. However, due to
cleanup efforts, many schools, and businesses were closed. Gradually, the
workers in California have worked overtime to provide order to the chaotic area
of American Canyon, California.
Earthquakes are caused when the plates of the earth are
moving, and the plates break at a fault. The released pressure caused an
earthquake.

America's Problems- Moats
The U.S as a whole has many
problems that need to be fixed. These range from big to small, and some are
more important than others. However, they’re all important and need taken care
of. To fix a country, is not an easy job at all. But, in my opinion, these are
small steps that could be taken.
One of the main problems I feel
that is in the U.S. is the educational system. Too often, kids are just passed
through based on convenience, rather than on academic excellence. I think, to
fix this, a stricter pass rate needs to be implemented. This way, students will
succeed more, and be ready to succeed in life. And this should be the main goal
for the U.S. education system.
Another major problem is the economy.
I think that one step that should be taken in order to balance it out, is to
put higher taxes on the wealthier class. When we tax the lower class, it makes
it harder for low classes to thrive in the economy. And this would also help to
balance the economy out. And that should be what the economy should strive to
be, balanced.
A final problem is the country’s philosophy
towards God and the church. Founded, “One Nation, Under God,” America has
strayed away from its roots. I think that we have decided we knew better, and
could take care of ourselves more. Fixing this is simple. Just return to the
way it was, when we were founded.
In conclusion, I think that these
are three steps towards fixing America’s problems. First, I think the
educational system could be fixed by enforcing a stricter pass rate. Second, I
feel that the wealthier people should be taxed more, and hopefully that could
help the lower and middle class strive. And finally, the country should aim to
follow God, like when we were founded. These are my opinions on how we can
solve America’s problems.

The article talks about corporate taxes and how America is raising the taxes on corporations. There was a company that had went overseas, for the sole purpose of having lower taxes. The article also talks about how some multinational companies own the world economy by moving. The purpose of taxes is to create and have money for different programs. I believe that the higher income people should have to pay the higher amount of taxes.

1. The police's first mistake was to shoot the unarmed child. Another mistake was to increase police reinforcements and allow more amounts of police brutality.
2. Excessive force is when someone goes past their restricted allowances when it relates to being foreceful. Also, it is added force, when there was very little instigation on the victims part. I do believe that excessive force was used, considering police used tear gas to restrain protestors.
3. I don't think that one peron can single-handedely fix the problems going on in Fergusson. Firstly, I think that the citizens should go to a high ranking official and state their pleas. Not in an agressive manner, but try and plead their case in a respective and diplomatic manner. Agression and rioting hardly ever get anything done in a timely manner.

Moat's 8/18/14
Dear Mark (future),
This school year, I hope to accomplish these
following goals. First of all, I want to maintain my 4.0+ average. Secondly, I want
to pass all of my AP Tests and earn college credits. Finally, I want to earn
enough scholarships in order to pay for my college tuition. In the next five
years, I hope to accomplish two things. I want to earn my Pre-Med Degree at
either AB, or WVU. Also, I want to earn a position on Dean’s List at one of
those colleges. In ten years, I want to be in a position to raise a family, and
be a provider. And I also want to be in position to finally graduate and become
a surgeon.
Sincerely, Mark Hill (2014)
